Why Next Gen Soccer for Your Summer Camp

By Jackie Bridgman June 3, 2026

At Next Gen Soccer, everything we do is built around one simple belief: quality soccer education changes players, coaches, and communities.

What began as a grassroots training company in Northwest Indiana has grown into a player and coach development organization that now works with thousands of athletes each year through camps, clinics, personal training, coach education, and club partnerships.
This summer, we're excited to bring that same philosophy to Colorado Springs through our Skill Builder Community Camp in partnership with the City of Colorado Springs Parks & Recreation Department.

Unlike many organizations in youth soccer, Next Gen Soccer is not a club and has no desire to become one. We don't form teams, hold player cards, or compete with local soccer organizations.
Instead, our mission is to support the clubs, coaches, and players already serving their communities.

We believe strong local clubs and community programs are the foundation of youth soccer.
Our role is to help strengthen those organizations by providing additional education, resources, and development opportunities that benefit everyone involved.

Through our partnerships with clubs, leagues, and parks departments, we provide:

● Player development camps and clinics

● Personal training opportunities

● Team development training

● Volunteer coach education

● Seasonal planning support

● Coaching resources and mentorship

Our partnership with the City of Colorado Springs extends beyond summer camps.
In addition to delivering the Skill Builder Camp - July 27th through 30th, Next Gen Soccer works with the city to provide coach education opportunities for volunteer coaches during both the Spring and Fall seasons.
These educational sessions are designed to help coaches better understand player development, session planning, age-appropriate coaching methods, and how to create positive learning environments for young athletes.

We believe that when coaches improve, players benefit. By investing in coach education, we can create a stronger experience for every child involved in the game.

The Skill Builder Camp is designed to give players an opportunity to develop the core technical skills that form the foundation of soccer. Players will work on ball mastery, footwork, dribbling, passing, receiving, finishing, and confidence on the ball through fun, engaging, and

age-appropriate activities.

Our coaching staff focuses on creating an environment where players are encouraged to learn, take risks, ask questions, and enjoy the process of improvement. While player development is important, we believe helping young athletes build confidence and a lifelong love for the game is equally valuable.

One of the things that makes Next Gen unique is our commitment to coach education.
Many volunteer coaches enter youth soccer with little or no playing experience.
Rather than viewing that as a challenge, we see it as an opportunity to help. Through practical coaching education, training resources, and ongoing support, we help coaches feel more confident and equipped to create positive experiences for their players.

This commitment to education is what drives everything we do.

Whether we're working with a first-time U6 player, a high school athlete pursuing college soccer, or a volunteer coach leading a recreational team, our goal remains the same:
provide quality education, create positive experiences, and help people grow through the game.

We are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to partner with the City of Colorado Springs and its Parks & Recreation Department.
Together, we hope to continue creating meaningful development opportunities for players, coaches, and families throughout the community.
